Left Sock

He's my left sock

Tucked away behind the dryer

Lost

Not even acknowledging he's a part of a set,

A bigger picture,

An outfit.

He's there feeling insignificant

Not knowing that without him there's no left shoe

And without a left shoe, I'm left

Imbalanced

The lack of balance skews my perception on reality

And I may or may not stumble and/or fall

Talk about a case of cold feet

All can be avoided if I just have my sock

Something that seems minuscule to most

Means so much in the grand scheme of things

A sock
